People generally attack stray dogs, kill or take away their puppies and call for their mass slaughter if they bite in retaliation. As a small step against the violence on street dogs and Cats. Friendship Cup 3.0

A gun is no more dangerous than a cricket bat in the hands of a madman." The Rotaract Club of SBMJC-KGF participated in the FRIENDSHIP Cup 3.0, organised by Rotaract Club of RRC Aditya Engineering College Surampalem, Zone 2.At RID 3020 which took place from November 17th to 19th, 2023. The tournament was a great success, and there was a strong sense of camaraderie among the districts 3181, 3160,3150,3020,3191,3192. From Our club Rtr. Chetan P Khupkar is ranked 5th place in fielding.

We the Rotaract Club of SBMJC-KGF collaborated with Rotary Club of KGF for “GIRLS ON WHEEL” event .A CSR initiative of Sacumen under the broad vision of Rotary International focus area of Girl Empowerment for rural India ,where they provided bi-cycles to girl’s students from Rural Government Schools. The Chief Guest for the events was Mrs.Roopa Kala Shashidar (MLA) .12 Members from our club took part in this event. Totally 50 Bi-Cycles were issued to students.

Marathon

MARATHON DRUG FREE KGF Date: 10. DEC. 2023 Timing: 6:00am to 12:30pm Location: Kolar Gold Field (KGF) Venue! Municipal Ground KGF Rotaract clut of SBMJC-KGF in association with Rotary club of KGF presented MARATHON for Drug free KGF! It was a race for Men 10km, women 6km and Veteran Men and women [45 Years + ] 6 km in length. There was immense public interest in the race, Around 200 Students and faculties,took part in the Marathon. Winners offered a medal and certifi- Cate. 8 Students of SBMJC-KGF won medals. The motto of the Marathon is "DRUG FREE KGF". During Marathon all the participants have spread the message of Drug Free.

The Primary intent of this event was to provide students with insights into their career options and the subsequent steps they should take after graduation. The Speaker was Navitha. Save Our Pets And Rescue For Birds

*"Save Our Pets, Rescue Our Birds"* *Date:* 31st March 2025 The Rotaract Club of SBMJC-KGF conducted an awareness campaign focused on feeding birds and pets. The Rotaract Club of SBMJC-KGF collaborated with Rotary Club of Kolar Gold Fields, for a seminar on “lifestyle modifications for prevention of cardiac disorders” The seminar was held on 17th September 2024, to educate the young generation to reduce their stress of heart disease and improve overall health. Pulwama Attack - Black Day

The Rotaract Club of SBMJC-KGF, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of KGF and Future Warriors KGF, observed Black Day in remembrance of the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the Pulwama attack on February 14, 2019. The event included a rally to express grief and show respect for the 40 CRPF jawans who lost their lives in a suicide bombing attack on their convoy. This tragic event was a significant loss for their families and the entire nation. To honor their sacrifice, a 2-minute silence was observed, followed by a candle march. The event aimed to remember the sacrifice made by these soldiers for the nation and to pledge that their memory will always be honored. May their souls rest in peace.

Rotaract Club of SBMJC, collaborated with Rotaract Club of KGF in association with Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital Objective: To provide free eye checkup services to the people of KGF and surrounding areas. Event Highlights: 200 Students of Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer temple College took part in Rally. The event saw attendees who received free eye checkups from a team of ophthalmologists and optometrists from Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital. Services Provided: - Free eye checkups - Counseling on eye care and hygiene Outcome: The event successfully raised awareness about eye care and regular checkups, benefiting 107 students & 60 Public people. Special Thanks: We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Ashok Kumar and the team at Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital, and to the management and staff of Sri Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College for their support. Marathon By Police Department

Date: 9th March 2025 Time: 7:00 am - 10:00 am Location: KGF Venue: Municipal Ground The Police Department organized a marathon to promote a "Drug-Free Karnataka." The event saw enthusiastic participation from people of all ages, including students, professionals, and citizens. The 5 km marathon was a resounding success, with 22 participants from the Rotaract Club of SBMJC-KGF taking part in the event. Our club members demonstrated their commitment to the cause and showcased their physical fitness and team spirit. Participants were provided with refreshments, water, and medical facilities throughout the event. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners received certificates and medals.
