Distribution Of Food To Suryodaya Boys Centre- Boys’ Orphanage In Kodathi Village And Navajeevana Children’s Home- Girls’ Orphanage In Carmellaram

Krupanidhi Rotaractors' “Self Development–Fellowship through Service” continues to extend services to Suryodaya Boys Centre- boys’ orphanage in Kodathi village and Navajeevana Children’s home- girls’ orphanage in Carmellaram, Sarjapur, Bengaluru. Krupanidhi Rotaractors visited Suryodaya Boys Centre- boys orphanage and Navajeevana Children’s home-girls orphanage on 2nd September 2023 to celebrate birthday of Mr. Akash Nagpal, Executive Director, Krupanidhi Group of Institutions (KGI), distributed food to these 35 orphan boys and 16 orphan girls. The visit was headed by the Prof. Shyjan, Dean, Krupanidhi Degree College (KDC), Mr. Suresha S, NSS program officer, KDC, Prof. Dr. Prakash. A, Faculty Coordinator of Rotary Club of Bangalore Koramangala with Rtr. President Harish K V, Rtr.Kasi Reddy, Rtr.Banu Teja Reddy, Rtr. Sambashiva Naidu J, Rtr. Shridhar, Rtr.Prabhu, Rtr.Swathi, Rtr.Usha, Rtr.Tejaswini, Rtr. Jaya Sathish Reddy, Rtr. Swathi HA and a team of KGI Faculty Members and Students. The team was warmly welcomed by the Staff of Suryodaya Boys Centre and Fr. Dominic, Warden of the orphanage, explained about Boys Orphanage and shown us the facility & infrastructure. The children were of different age groups, starting from the youngest- five years age to the oldest teenagers of 16 years. There are 35 orphan boys were provided with food by Krupanidhi Rotaractors. Later, we visited Nava Jeevana Children’s home – Girls orphanage and provided food to all 16 girl orphan children. The students of Krupanidhi Group of Institutions were truly moved by the experience and expressed their gratitude to the orphanage staff for the warm welcome. We thanked the staff for the wonderful hospitality and expressed our pleasure in seeing the children so happy. It was a wonderful experience to see the children and witness their enthusiasm for life. The “Food Distribution event” definitely encouraged us to do more for the needy and help them with extending teaching English, Mathematics, Science, and other subjects. It was indeed a very memorable day. Prof. Shyjan, Dean, Krupanidhi Degree College informed the warden of Suryodaya Boys Home Fr. Dominic that our PG students would visit Suryodaya Boys Centre- boys orphanage regularly to Teach the Children in English, Mathematics, Science, and other subjects.

Teacher's Day Celebration With Gunjur Government High School Teachers

Celebrating Teachers Day is the finest form of showing tribute to the unwavering spirit of teachers and it’s a day of reflection, learning and bonding. It is a day to recognize a profession, which shapes all other profession. It is a day to remind ourselves the pivotal role teachers play in shaping the future of the country. Teachers’ Day, is celebrated annually on the 5th of September in India, to honor the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India. It is an occasion to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of teachers. This year, Krupanidhi Degree College, in association with Rotaract Club of Krupanidhi Group of Institutions sponsored by Rotary Club of Bangalore Koramangala celebrated this important event at Government High School located in Gunjur. Headed by Dr. Prakash from Department of PGDM, Krupanidhi Degree College, accompanied by Dr. Venkatesh, PG Department, Mr. Suresh, NSS Officer, and KDC and with Rotaractors from MBA and PGDM, reached Government High School, Gunjur around 12.00 pm. Though it was an uninformed visit, the Principal, Mr. Jagadish Nayak was so happy to see us and welcomed us. We had a small get together function in his department along with all the other teachers of the school. Prof. Dr. Prakash. A, Professor, KGI, spoke highlighting the contributions of teachers in general and thanked the teachers and The Principal of Government High School, Gunjur for their support and contributions in conducting various programs organized by Rotaract Club of Krupanidhi Group Institutions, sponsored by Rotary Club of Bangalore Koramangala, and sought their continual co-operation for the events, to be organized in the near future. He also mentioned about the symbiotic relationship with the school, for the benefit and betterment of the rural students and village community. The Principal of Government High School, Gunjur was felicitated and sweets were distributed to all the teachers on the occasion. Dr. Venkatesh, PG Department, KGIspoke about Karnataka Government School teachers imparting knowledge to the Students and showing them way forward. Dr. Venkatesh also cited about students studied in Government Schools have excelled in their career & life. Mr. Suresha, NSS Officer, KDC spoke about the events and remembered his school days and accredited the role of teachers in shaping his life. Few teachers also shared their experiences and gave suggestions for the better school management. Few teachers also spoke about the evolving dynamics of teaching in the digital age and the teachers thanked us for gifting them the “23 eTabs” donated by Rotary Club of Bangalore Koramangala which has helped students in learning the concepts more effectively. Also thanked Krupanidhi Rotaractors visiting the school and teaching the students - English, Mathematics and Science subjects. The teachers were visibly moved by the efforts and warmth of the gestures of Krupanidhi Group of Institutions and thanked us.

"Sam'maan 2.0" Teachers’ Felicitation Ceremony

The Rotary Club of Bangalore Koramangala, organized the "Sam'maan 2.0" Teachers’ Felicitation Ceremony to honor and celebrate the invaluable contributions of teachers in the Society and marked a memorable evening recognizing the dedication and hard work of educators, on 14th September 2023 at the venue Koramangala Club, Bengaluru. The event commenced at 4:00 PM and concluded at 8:00 PM, providing ample time for 171 Teachers of Government Schools and attendees to engage in the fellowship, festivities and celebrations. The ceremony was held at a meticulously decorated venue, providing an elegant and apt ambiance for the attendees. President of Rotary Club of Bangalore Koramangala Rtn. Pres. Raja M, as the chief host of the program welcome the dignitaries and exuding warmth and enthusiasm throughout the ceremony. Rtn. Pres. Raja M, said “Teacher’s Day is celebrated every year on September 5. The day commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Free Eye Testing Camp At Primary Health Centre, Gunjur & Government High School, Gunjur

On Friday, November 24, 2023, Rotary Club of Bangalore Koramangala sponsored a free eye testing camp lead by Rtn. Murali Krishnan RCB Koramangala assisted by Krupanidhi Rotaract Club with support of Drishti Eye Hospital at the Primary Health Centre, Gunjur and Government High School, Gunjur. Krupanidhi Roratact Club faculty coordinator Prof.Prakash.A, collaboratively organized the event with Rtr. President Harish KV, Rtr. Vice President Sambasiva Naidu J, Rtr. Kasi Reddy, Rtr. Jaya Sathish Reddy, Rtr. Tejaswini, Rtr. Harun Pothu, Rtr. Yashwanth Reddy and a team of KGI students. Prof. Dr. Prakash Mallya, Director CPPA, Krupanidhi College of Pharmacy visits the camp. The camp was conducted by the team of medical staff from Drishti Eye Hospital and volunteers who answered questions about eye health and provided general medical advice. The camp provided free eye test/screening examination on vision and identifying patients with Cataract issues. 97+ people from Gunjur and neighboring villages had attended the camp where 14 people were diagnosed with cataract issues and 40+ needy students of Government High School were identified with vision issues, need spectacles. The camp was a great success, and the people who attended were very happy with the services they received. Many of the people who attended the camp were from low-income families and would not have been able to afford eye care otherwise. The camp was also an opportunity for the people of Gunjur to come together and learn more about eye health. The Rotary Club of Bangalore Koramangala and Drishti Eye Hospital are committed to providing eye care services to the people of Gunjur and the surrounding areas. Impact of the Camp: The free eye camp had a positive impact on the community people who attended. Many people who attended the camp may get spectacles for reading & improving their eye sight and may lead quality of life. The camp also helped to identify and treat eye diseases of Government School Students early and 14 villagers with Cataract Issue may get Cataract Surgery to be sponsored by Rotary Bangalore Koramangala, which can prevent blindness. The camp also had a positive impact on society. The camp brought people together from different backgrounds and helped to raise awareness of eye health. The camp also showed the people of Gunjur that there are organizations that care about their well-being and are committed to providing them with quality healthcare. The free eye camp sponsored by Rotary Club Bangalore Koramangala, assisted by Krupanidhi Rotaract Club in collaboration with Drishti Eye Hospital was a great success. The camp provided free eye examinations to more than 97 people from the old age home, nearby Gunjur, Sarjapur villages and Government School Students. The camp had a positive impact on the people who attended and the community services. The eye camp made sure everyone in the community could see well and understand why taking care of their eyes is important. This event brought eye care closer to people who might not have had access to it otherwise, making a positive impact on their daily lives. The Cataract Surgery for medically fit cataract patients of these 14 villagers would be performed on 8 th December 2023 at Drishti Eye Hospital, Sarjapur to be sponsored by Rotary C B Koramangla.

Project Warmth 3.0 Keeps 100 Orphan Children Warm

The Rotary Club Bangalore Koramangala sponsored the "Project Warmth 3.0", successfully organized and assisted by Rotaract Club of Krupanidhi Group of Institutions on Sunday, 10th December 2023. Project Warmth 3.0 spreading warmth and compassion this winter 2023! Extending help to provide blankets to homeless individuals, living on the streets, making a difference one blanket at a time to Children of Thaayi Mane (Mother’s Home) an Orphanage, aimed at providing comfort and relief to those in need through the donation of blankets. The event witnessed the participation of fifteen dedicated Rotaractors of Krupanidhi Group of Institutions (KGI), in presence of Rtn. Raja M, President of Rotary Club Bangalore Koramangala. The initiative targeted 100 children present at Thaayi Mane, with a generous donation of blankets. The Project Warmth 3.0 initiative was executed with the objective of donating blankets to provide warmth and comfort to the needy children facing challenging circumstances during this winter season. The event was graced by the presence of Rtn. Raja M, the President of Rotary Club Bangalore Koramangala, who extended his support and encouragement to the Rotaract Club of Krupanidhi Group of Institutions. This collaboration strengthened the impact of the initiative and exemplified the unity within the Rotary Club Bangalore Koramangala family for the second consecutive year of winter season. Fifteen enthusiastic volunteers from Krupanidhi Group of Institutions actively participated in organizing and executing the event. Their dedication played a crucial role in the smooth coordination and success of the Project Warmth 3.0 initiative. The initiative helped 100 children present at Thaayi Mane, with a generous donation of 50 blankets. The success of Project Warmth 3.0 underscores the commitment of the Rotaract Club of Krupanidhi Group of Institutions to community service and humanitarian efforts. The event not only provided tangible support to those in need but also fostered a sense of social responsibility among the volunteers and participants. Eye See & I Study, I Work Donation Of Spectacles To Villagers & Government High School Students, Gunjur

Rotary Club Bangalore Koramangala (RCBK) with Rotaract Club of Krupanidhi Group of Institutions had organized Donation of Spectacles / Eye glasses to Villagers & Government School Students, Gunjur, the patients diagnosed with Eye Sight problems during eye test camp at Gunjur High school. The program was organized at Krupanidhi Group of Institution (KGI) adopted Government High School, Gunjur. Dr. C.J. Rajendra Prasad, Dean, PG Programs, Krupanidhi Degree College was the Chief Guest and distributed the spectacles. RCB Koramangala had sponsored the Eye Test, Cataract Surgery and donation of spectacles. Thanks to The President of Rotary Club Bangalore Koramangala Rtn. Raja and Rtn. Murali Krishnan, Mr. Jagadish Nayak, Principal – Government High School and Prof. Prakash A, Faculty coordinator with Rotary Club Bangalore Koramangala and Krupanidhi Rotaract members. The Rotaract Club of KGI was also assisted by members of NSS of Krupanidhi, The volunteers as well as faculty Coordinators contributed for success of the event. “Drishti Eye Hospital” doctors and medical team made appropriate arrangements & settings suitable for testing the patients. The elder people were examined systematically like BP, Sugar, etc. & then they did eye test. The Government High School students & the elder people (villagers) were divided & eye test was done on 24th November 2023. The free camp was organized to help most of the Under Income, BPL (below poverty line) people, at the end of the day, the motive of this camp was delivered. The overall registration were 98, which is inclusive of 57 adult/elder villagers, 41 students of Govt. High School,Gunjur. Among these tested patients The Cataract Surgery for medically fit 4 cataract patients out of 14 cataract villager patients identified with Cataract were performed on 8th December 2023 at Drishti Eye Hospital, Sarjapur sponsored by Rotary Club Bangalore Koramangla and all other people eyes were tested, 26 patients were advised for spectacles/glasses. Rotary Club Koramangala, Bangalore financially sponsored Four Cataract Surgeries and also provided twenty six spectacles to the 26 patients. Earlier on 24th November 2023, Rotary Club of Bangalore Koramangala sponsored a free eye testing camp lead by Rtn Raja, President, RCBK and Rtn. Murali Krishnan, RCBKoramangala assisted by Krupanidhi Rotaract Club with support of Drishti Eye Hospital at the Primary Health Centre, Gunjur and Government High School, Gunjur. Summary  The event started at 11.00AM and concluded at 12.30PM  Many villagers & school students were benefitted from this camp  Rotary Club Koramangala, Bangalore financially sponsored 4 Cataract Surgeries, out the 11 villagers 7 villagers had medical issues to undergo Cataract Surgery; and also provided twenty six spectacles to the twenty six patients.  26 patients were provided with spectacles/glasses – detailed list is provided as annexure.  President of Rotary Koramangala Bangalore - Rtn. Raja, Rtn. Murali Kirshnan and Prof. Prakash A, faculty coordinator with Rotary Koramangala were present at the event.

Viksit Bharat

The Republic Day celebration, named "Viksit Bharat" aimed to foster a sense of patriotism and community spirit among the residents of Suryodaya Boys Centre (Boys Orphanage). The event took place on 26th January 2024 the Republic Day of India. “Viksit Bharat@2047- Voice of Youth Platform”: Whichever education institutes you represent, you have to channelize the youth energy of the country for this one goal. Every youth who comes to our institutions comes with some characteristics or the other. His/Her ideas, no matter how diverse they are, have to be linked to the stream of building a developed India. We would like all of you to think beyond your limits to contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. We have to prepare such an immortal generation in the country, which will become the leader of the country in the coming years, which will give leadership and direction to the country. We have to prepare such a young sapling of the country, who will keep the national interest supreme, who will keep his/her duties supreme. We do not have to be limited to just education and skills. As a citizen, it is necessary to increase efforts in this direction to ensure that the citizens of the country remain alert 24 hours a day. We have to bring that consciousness into society, whether cameras are installed or not, people should not jump the red light of traffic. People should have such a high sense of duty that they reach office on time and go ahead to work to fulfill their responsibilities. Whatever product is made here, its quality should be so good that seeing it as Made in India increases the pride of the buyer. When every citizen of the country, whatever role he/she plays, starts performing his/her duties, the country will also move forward.As a part of our community service initiative, we distributed essential cleaning items to the residents of Suryodaya Boys Centre. This not only aimed at promoting hygiene but also emphasized our commitment to social responsibility. In the spirit of the festive occasion, we distributed sweets to the children, bringing joy and sweetness to the Suryodaya Boys Republic Day celebrations. The highlight of the event was the vibrant cultural performances by the children of Suryodaya Boys Centre. Suryodaya Boys showcased their talents through dance, adding an extra layer of celebration to the day. The Republic Day celebration at Suryodaya Boys Centre was a tremendous success. The residents not only received essential items but also enjoyed a day filled with cultural activities, fostering a sense of unity and pride in being a part of the diverse fabric of our nation. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the Rotaract Club members, volunteers, who contributed to making Viksit Bharat a memorable event. Special thanks to the staff and residents of Suryodaya Boys Centre for their warm participation and enthusiasm. Pawstively Clean🐾

The "Pawsitively Clean" Dog Shelter Visit, orchestrated by KGI Rotaract Club and the Rotaract Club of Koramangala, transpired on February 24th, 2024, at the Maruthy Dog Shelter in Sarjapur. It served a dual purpose: volunteering to improve shelter conditions and nurturing relationships with the shelter's canine inhabitants. Attendees undertook a variety of volunteer tasks, such as cleaning kennels, grooming dogs, and maintaining sanitation. These efforts not only elevated the shelter's hygiene standards but also facilitated meaningful interactions between volunteers and dogs, enriching both parties. The collaborative endeavour between the two Rotaract clubs showcased the potency of collective action in service. The event yielded tangible outcomes, including noticeable enhancements in shelter cleanliness, heightened community engagement, and amplified awareness of animal welfare. In summary, the "Pawsitively Clean" Dog Shelter Visit epitomized the Rotaract clubs' ethos of service and camaraderie. Through concerted efforts, participants left an indelible mark on the lives of shelter dogs while fortifying bonds within the Rotaract community. This event stands as a testament to our commitment to community service and reflects the values of the Rotaract Club of Krupanidhi Group of Institutions. Event flow: 🐾The Rotaractors assembled at the venue & started networking with other club Members. 🐾We started the event with a Formal Introduction of every Members. 🐾 Later, Gaurav explained all the Volunteers about the Role that each member will play. Also, the entire Members were divided into 3 Teams so that we could complete the works in a smoother way. 🐾Three different teams started working in 3 different areas of the Shelter & helped the Shelter People in making the place better for the Dogs. 🐾 Aditi, the In-Charge of the Place, was so happy & overwhelmed to see the number of Volunteers who turned up for the event. She was also happy to see the place clean after many days. 🧹 🐾Aditi thanked all the Members & expressed her gratitude to all the Rotaractors. 🐾We ended the event with a Happy Group Picture along with the Volunteers, Gaurav & Aditi. It has been a great and fun-filled learning experience for all of us. Lastly, we would like to thank all the Volunteers for coordinating the whole event and making it a memorable experience for everyone present. Blood Donation Camp

On the 11th of March, the Rotaract Club of Krupanidhi College, in association with Bangalore Medical Service Trust, organized a successful blood donation camp in the Pharmacy block, Krupanidhi Group Of Institutions. The event aimed to contribute to the noble cause of saving lives through voluntary blood donation. With the enthusiastic participation of students from various departments, we collected a total of 64 units of blood. Throughout the day, the pharmacy block buzzed with activity as students lined up to donate blood. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie and a sense of purpose as each donor recognized the potential to make a difference in someone's life. The success of the blood donation camp can be attributed to the diligent efforts of the Rotaractors. Their meticulous planning and coordination ensured smooth execution and post- donation care. Moreover, the support from College ,along with Bangalore Medical Service Trust, played a crucial role in fostering a conducive environment for the event. In conclusion, the blood donation camp at Krupanidhi College served as a testament to the power of collective action and compassion. Through the selfless contributions of students, we reaffirmed our commitment to making a positive impact on the community.
