79th Independence Day Celebration

On 15th August 2025, the Rotaract Club of SSMRV College, in collaboration with the NSS and NCC units of the college, proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day with grandeur, discipline, and heartfelt patriotism. The event began early at 7:30 AM, as students, faculty, and members gathered in unity to honor the nation’s spirit of freedom. The morning commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, a moment that filled the campus with pride as the tricolor fluttered high against the morning sky. This was followed by soulful cultural performances - dance routines, a group song, and speeches that reflected the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the responsibilities we hold as today’s citizens. Adding to the dignity of the occasion, Rtn. Guru Charan, President of Rotary Club of Bengaluru Jayanagar, and Rtn. MD Firoz, the Club Secretary, graced the event as special guests. Their words of encouragement and patriotism reminded everyone of the importance of service, leadership, and community. The event concluded with a sense of togetherness over breakfast, giving participants the chance to share their reflections on the celebration. By 10:30 AM, the program drew to a close, leaving behind a deep sense of gratitude, unity, and renewed purpose. The 79th Independence Day at SSMRV was not just a commemoration, but a reminder of our duty to uphold the values of freedom, equality, and service - values that continue to inspire every initiative of the Rotaract Club.
