On 16th August 2025, at the cozy and welcoming Chikamagaluru Queen's Coffee, the Talk Over Tea Mentor Meet brought together House Captains of House Tejas and our experienced mentor Rtr. Deekshitha R, an ex-House Captain of House Valors. The initiative was designed not just as a formal meeting, but as a heartfelt space for guidance, reflection, and personal growth. From the very beginning, the atmosphere was warm and engaging. The mentor shared stories from their own journey as a House Captain - moments of challenge, decision-making, teamwork, and leadership that left a lasting impression on the attendees. Listening to these experiences, the current House Captains felt inspired, motivated, and more connected to the responsibilities they carry. The session wasn’t limited to advice; it became a space for open conversation, where questions flowed freely, doubts were clarified, and thoughtful discussions emerged. The human connection was the true highlight. Tea in hand, smiles exchanged, and genuine curiosity in their eyes, the House Captains felt encouraged to reflect on their own leadership styles and how they could grow while supporting their members. The mentor, in turn, expressed pride and hope in seeing the new generation embrace their roles with enthusiasm and heart. Talk Over Tea proved that guidance is most impactful when paired with empathy, shared experiences, and trust. By the end of the session, House Captains walked away not only with practical insights into their roles but also with renewed confidence, stronger bonds, and a deep sense of belonging within the House and the Rotaract community.
