The Rotaract Club of SSMRV College was delighted to collaborate in Bag It Forward – Bags for a Cause, a meaningful community service initiative organized by the Rotaract Club of KLE Law College, RID 3191. This project focused on supporting local street vendors by reducing their dependence on plastic and providing them with an affordable, eco-friendly alternative. The campaign encouraged clubs to collect clean, unused paper bags — the kind commonly received from delivery services such as Zepto, Blinkit, Instamart, and Swiggy. These bags, when repurposed, help vendors with daily packaging needs, reduce plastic usage, and ease their financial burden. As collaborators, the Rotaract Club of SSMRV College contributed 36 paper bags to the initiative. While the contribution may appear simple, its impact carries weight. Each bag represents not only an act of reuse but also a step toward sustainability and community support. For the vendors, these bags mean convenience, reduced costs, and the reassurance that their needs are being noticed and cared for. What made this project special was its simplicity and inclusiveness — anyone could contribute, and every contribution counted. It showed how small collective actions can ripple into significant community impact. Bag It Forward was more than a collection drive; it was a gesture of kindness and environmental responsibility, reminding us that service often begins with small acts of thoughtfulness. Through this collaboration, our club reaffirmed its commitment to both community care and sustainability, proving that even everyday items can become tools for change.
