Onam is more than a festival - it is a feeling of unity, joy, and tradition. For the Rotaract Club of SSMRV College, celebrating Namma Onam on campus was an experience filled with color, culture, and togetherness. The reel beautifully captured these moments, showcasing the vibrance of Kerala’s heritage and the happiness of our members as they came together to celebrate. The celebration began with graceful dance performances that reflected the cultural essence of Onam and brought festive cheer to everyone present. A lively fashion show followed, where members proudly donned traditional attire, adding elegance and charm to the event. One of the most admired highlights was the hand-painted Kathakali face, created by three talented Rotaractors - a true expression of creativity and respect for Kerala’s traditions. To close the event on a fun and interactive note, a round of musical chairs was organized. The laughter, playful competition, and camaraderie during the game reminded everyone that festivals are not just about customs, but also about the joy of being together. Released on Instagram, the reel struck a chord with many, reaching an impressive 11,580 views and 562 interactions, including 377 likes, 12 comments, and 167 shares. These responses reflected not only engagement but also appreciation for the festive spirit our club shared with the community. Namma Onam was more than an event - it was a heartfelt reminder of how festivals bring people closer, celebrate diversity, and create memories filled with warmth and joy.
