On 16th September 2025, the Rotaract Club of SSMRV College had the privilege of bringing warmth, comfort, and joy to twelve expectant mothers at Shoba Hospital, BTM Layout, through the heartfelt initiative Karulina Koogu. This project was not just about distributing kits - it was about celebrating life, motherhood, and the power of compassion. Each Mother Kit was lovingly curated with essentials to ease the journey of these women stepping into motherhood. From cozy sweaters and socks for the mothers, to soft baby blankets, tiny hats, mittens, and diapers for the little ones, every item carried a message of care and thoughtfulness. Hygiene needs were also addressed with Dettol, ensuring safety and well-being for both mother and child. A special mention goes to the generous ₹5,000 in-kind contribution from an NGO connected to one of our project chairs, which made this initiative even more impactful. The most precious reward of the day was not in numbers, but in emotions—the radiant smiles of the mothers as they received the kits. Their eyes sparkled with gratitude, reminding us that even simple gestures can create profound joy. It wasn’t just about the items in the bags, but the reassurance that they are cared for, supported, and celebrated in this beautiful phase of life. For our team, the experience was equally fulfilling. To witness the warmth of connection, the gratitude in their words, and the happiness in their faces filled our hearts with purpose. Karulina Koogu was a gentle reminder that service is not measured by scale but by sincerity. It reaffirmed our belief that kindness, when shared, has the power to nurture lives and spread hope in the most beautiful ways.
