On 17th September 2025, the Rotaract Club of SSMRV College organized Namma Arogya, a free health camp at Jain Temple, 4th Block, with a heartfelt mission to nurture healthier and happier lives in our community. Health is often overlooked until it falters, and this initiative served as a gentle reminder that caring for ourselves is the truest form of self-love. During the camp, our team provided free blood pressure and sugar check-ups to around 30 individuals - people who might otherwise struggle to access even these basic yet vital health services. To complement the check-ups, we distributed fresh fruits, symbolizing nourishment, care, and the encouragement to embrace healthier daily habits. What made this initiative truly special were the human moments - the visible relief of a senior citizen reassured about their health, the gratitude of a daily-wage worker who rarely finds time for such care, and the joy of community members who felt seen, heard, and cared for. These smiles and conversations carried more meaning than any medical readings ever could. Beyond the health services, the camp created a safe space of trust and togetherness, where participants could openly share concerns and receive guidance on healthier living. It was more than a camp - it was a day of reassurance, compassion, and community spirit. This initiative was made possible by the generosity of a group of elder well-wishers, who graciously covered the entire cost, standing by us in our mission. Their support reminded us that service becomes even more impactful when generations come together for a common cause. For our team, Namma Arogya was a humbling experience - proof that sometimes the smallest steps can lead to the biggest changes in creating a healthier, kinder world.
