On 11th September 2025, the Rotaract Club of SSMRV College, RID 3191, hosted Milan - a vibrant cultural exchange with the Rotaract Club of Prestige, RID 3053. What began as a simple evening on Google Meet at 8:00 PM quickly transformed into a celebration of laughter, stories, and shared traditions. The event was more than presentations - it was a window into each other’s worlds, where food, festivals, travel dreams, and daily life blended seamlessly. With each interaction, participants discovered not just differences to admire but also surprising similarities, making the exchange both fun and meaningful. The session opened with an engaging icebreaker, “Guess the Meme,” which set a lively tone. This activity encouraged quick thinking and laughter, breaking barriers instantly and allowing participants to connect in a lighthearted way. Members of the Rotaract Club of Prestige then showcased their culture, introducing adventure spots, festivals, cuisines, and lifestyle elements that were both captivating and inspiring. From vibrant celebrations to unique heritage sites, the presentation offered a rich perspective on their community. In turn, we shared our traditions, food habits, cultural practices, and daily routines, sparking meaningful dialogues and mutual curiosity. It was fascinating to note how universal values like family, respect, and celebration resonate across both cultures, even when expressed differently. We extend heartfelt gratitude to Rtr. Ishika Sharma, President 2025–26, and Rtr. Garima Makhija, International Service Director 2025–26, for their dedication in making Milan possible. Their leadership ensured the event went beyond formal presentations, creating a space for genuine connection, cultural appreciation, and international fellowship. Milan truly lived up to its name, symbolizing unity and togetherness, and stands as a testament to the power of cultural diversity in bringing people closer across borders.
