Chain of Peace

On 21st September 2025, the Rotaract Club of SSMRV College came together virtually to celebrate the International Day of Peace through a heartfelt initiative titled Chain of Peace. The event was not just about observing a day on the calendar - it was about reflecting on what peace truly means in our lives and taking a conscious step to embody it. During the session, our members took a powerful oath, pledging to be messengers of peace in their thoughts, words, and actions. Each line of the pledge carried weight: to never support war or violence, to respect every human being regardless of culture or faith, to resolve differences through dialogue and compassion, and to spread kindness wherever possible. Speaking these words aloud was more than a ritual - it was a reminder of the responsibility we each hold in shaping a more harmonious world. The most touching aspect of the initiative was the spirit of continuation. After taking the pledge, members nominated fellow Rotaractors, ensuring that the chain of peace did not end with us but carried forward. It was inspiring to witness how a simple act of commitment could spark ripples of positivity and unity beyond our club. This event reminded us that peace begins with individuals and grows when shared. In a world often divided, Chain of Peace was our way of affirming hope, harmony, and humanity. Together, we chose peace - not just for one day, but as a way of life.
