Bombe Habba, celebrated on the 29th and 30th of September 2025 by the Rotaract Club of SSMRV College, was not just a club service event - it was a vibrant expression of culture, community, and creativity. In honor of Dasara, our members beautifully arranged dolls that recreated the grandeur of Mysore Dasara, turning the campus into a living canvas of tradition. Each step in the arrangement reflected devotion and storytelling, with dolls depicting mythological scenes, festive rituals, and glimpses of everyday life, bringing alive the cultural richness of Karnataka. The process itself was filled with warmth and camaraderie - members working together, exchanging ideas, laughing, and reliving cherished memories of family traditions. For some, it was a nostalgic return to childhood rituals of arranging dolls at home, while for others it was an exciting chance to learn and embrace new traditions. What made Bombe Habba even more special was how it strengthened our public image - showcasing to the larger community that Rotaract is not only about service and leadership but also about preserving and celebrating culture. The event drew attention to how youth can actively connect modern perspectives with age-old traditions, demonstrating creativity and inclusivity while upholding values that bind us together. The Mysore Dasara-inspired decorations became a point of admiration for students and visitors alike, reflecting the club’s dedication to cultural pride and aesthetic presentation. Beyond the artistic display, the event became a bridge between tradition and modern Rotaract spirit, showing how service, fellowship, and culture can beautifully coexist. Bombe Habba left everyone with memories of joy, unity, and pride while strengthening the image of Rotaract as a club that celebrates not just projects but the spirit of togetherness and heritage.
