On the bright morning of 30th July 2023, the Rotaract Club of BMSCE successfully hosted a remarkable Cleanathon near BMS College of Engineering. With the mission to create a cleaner and greener environment, this event saw an enthusiastic participation of around 30 dedicated volunteers. The event kickstarted at 8:00 AM as the volunteers, beaming with excitement, gathered at the designated meeting point in BMSCE. The atmosphere was filled with positive energy and a sense of responsibility towards nature. Dividing the volunteers into groups, the organizers strategically planned the clean-up operation to target different roads surrounding the college. Each group was equipped with gloves, waste bags, and cleaning tools, all ready to make a significant impact on the environment. The groups dispersed to their respective assigned roads. The volunteers diligently picked up litter, cleaned the roads, and ensured that the surroundings regained their pristine appearance. At 10:00 AM, the clean-up activity came to a successful conclusion and the volunteers returned to the starting point. The Cleanathon not only enhanced the aesthetics of the area but also spread awareness about the importance of environmental preservation. The event served as an inspiration to many, encouraging them to adopt sustainable practices and take responsibility for their surroundings.
