The Karnataka Forest Department celebrated the 69th Wildlife Week to emphasize the importance of wildlife conservation and raise awareness about the protection of wildlife and their habitats. The significance of this event is multifaceted. The theme for this year's Wildlife Week was "Walk for Wildlife Conservation." During this event, various organizations, wildlife enthusiasts, and government agencies collaborated to advocate for the safeguarding and preservation of endangered species and their natural environments. These collaborative efforts often encompassed the implementation of awareness campaigns, workshops, and seminars. The Rotaract Club of Banashankari (Team RcoB) had the honor of participating in a walkathon as part of this event. The walkathon commenced from the High Court of Bangalore and concluded at Lalbagh. The purpose of this walkathon was to actively contribute to the cause of wildlife conservation by spreading awareness about the importance of protecting our wildlife and their habitats.
