This event was an event that we volunteered along with the parent rotary - Rotary club of bengaluru Basavanagudi. In collaboration with Suryakirana Foundation. As a practice, the founders of Suryakirana along with the family have been celebrating festivals at the Kidwai institute along with the Cancer patients since 25 years. On the occasion of Diwali, RBB sponsored fruits to them and decorated the place with 1 Lakh diyas. 5 of us from the club helped the parent rotary volunteer for the same. We helped in serving food for the attenders who take care of the cancer patients. This was followed by a Pooja and a few rituals to commemorate the occasion. Post which, we were engaged in fruit distribution to the attenders. This event not only made us feel very overwhelmed but also thankful to everything that we have.
