The Rotaract Club of BMSCE in collaboration with NSS Unit of BMSCE organized an event, “Paper Bag Making Extravaganza”, on 8th December 2023, from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM, and a total of 300 paper bags were crafted by the enthusiastic team of 25 volunteers. The event aimed to promote sustainable practices and promote environmental consciousness during Kadlekai Parishe by creating eco-friendly alternatives to plastic bags. Volunteers engaged in a remarkable display of skillful craftsmanship, meticulously folding, cutting, and expertly gluing newspapers to fashion not only sturdy and practical bags for carrying goods but also uniquely aesthetically pleasing creations infused with individual creativity. This transformative process underscored the event's commitment to 2 sustainable practices, as the newspapers were thoughtfully sourced from local recycling centers, not only reducing the environmental impact but also championing the ethos of up cycling. The seamless success of the initiative was intricately tied to the participants' effective teamwork and collaboration. This cohesive effort allowed the team to efficiently produce a substantial number of newspaper bags within the one-hour timeframe, showcasing the power of collective dedication.
