The S.P.A.W wing of the Rotaract Club of BMSCE conducted a visit to CUPA, an animal shelter, which turned out to be a heartwarming and enlightening experience. A group of around 13 individuals, including two members of the Board of Directors, participated in this meaningful outing. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the shelter's veterinarian, who took the time to address the group. During his presentation, he shared valuable insights about the various animals residing at CUPA, ranging from goats and cows to horses, donkeys, and dogs. The veterinarian highlighted the shelter's commitment to providing exceptional care for the animals, emphasizing that many of them had been rescued from challenging situations. It was evident that CUPA is dedicated to ensuring the well-being and rehabilitation of these animals. Following the informative session, we had the opportunity to explore the shelter grounds and interact with the animals firsthand. The walk around the premises allowed us to witness the positive impact of CUPA's efforts in creating a safe and nurturing environment for these creatures. Our club had the opportunity to contribute to their well-being by donating carrots, biscuits, and jaggery. These small but thoughtful donations were well-received and contributed to the overall positive atmosphere of the visit. Overall, the visit to CUPA was a profoundly rewarding and wholesome experience, leaving us with a greater appreciation for the organization's dedication to animal welfare. It not only strengthened the bond among the participants but also raised awareness about the importance of supporting animal welfare initiatives in the community.
