Dressed in vibrant ethnic attire, the members of United enthusiastically assembled at the venue around 10 o'clock in the morning. We gathered all the necessary elements such as pots, sugarcanes, and firewood to prepare the pongal in the traditional way. Each member who joined the event made sure to bring the required items, ensuring a seamless pongal-making process. The pot, skillfully placed in the center, stood out amidst the exquisite rangoli art designed by the beautiful and elegantly dressed saree-clad members. While the fragrant pongal was slowly cooking, parallel games took place, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event. Participants engaged in friendly competitions like the lemon and spoon rally, the act it out game, and the intriguing Mafia game. Laughter and merriment filled the atmosphere as everyone actively participated and enjoyed these engaging activities. After hours of anticipation, the clock struck 1 PM, and the moment of truth arrived – the sweet pongal was finally ready! The aroma of freshly cooked rice and jaggery filled the air, enticing everyone's taste buds. The assembled members couldn't resist indulging in the delectable delight that was meticulously prepared. It was unanimously agreed that the pongal was not only a culinary success but also a testament to the unity and camaraderie of the United members. In addition, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to the representatives from SSMRV, whose gracious presence added an extra layer of beauty and charm to the already wonderful day of celebration. During our celebration at a boys' home, the sweet pongal was prepared by the home specifically for the children residing there and they also had fun.
