ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ "Learning is a grand adventure for curious minds" Rotaract Bangalore Vijaynagar is taking the initiative to organize "Abhyasa,"our flagship project for the year 2023-2024. This project aims to benefit 80 government school children by providing them with valuable skills. The focus of the program is on teaching spoken English and the basics of computers, helping these students enhance their communication abilities and gain fundamental computer knowledge. This effort will undoubtedly contribute to the educational growth and development of the participating kids. Every Saturday, we dedicate two hours to our flagship project, engaging children and making a positive impact. Abhyasa is our flagship project aimed at making a positive impact on the lives of 80 government school eighth-grade students. This initiative is designed to provide them with valuable skills throughout the year. Spoken English: The project focuses on teaching these students the fundamentals of spoken English. Proficiency in English is often a critical skill, opening up opportunities for better communication, education, and future job prospects. Basics of Computers: In today's digital age, computer literacy is crucial. Abhyasa ensures that these students receive instruction in the basics of computers. This knowledge equips them to navigate the digital world, use essential software, and potentially pursue careers in technology. Regular Classes: To ensure consistent learning, classes are held every Saturday for two hours. This regular schedule allows students to build on their knowledge progressively over the course of the year. By providing these students with English and computer skills, Abhyasa aims to empower them with the tools they need to excel academically and improve their future prospects. This project represents a commendable effort to bridge educational gaps and promote empowerment among government school students. The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Vijayanagar, under the umbrella of the Abyasa Project initiative, conducted its 13th class at GKEMPS Government School on February 24, 2024, Saturday. The initiative aimed to provide educational enrichment and inspire the students of the 8th standard to pursue knowledge and explore various career avenues. Rtr. Shakthi Vel, a former scientist and Ph.D. holder in rocketry, conducted an engaging class on rocket science. His session aimed to ignite the curiosity of the students and inspire them to become future scientists in India. The event concluded with Rtr. Jagadish Chinda, leading the team, distributed 15 pages of printed notes on the basics of computers to each student who attended his computer class. This gesture aimed to provide the students with additional resources to enhance their learning beyond the classroom.
