Description

We visited Maruti Dog Shelter in Sarjapura for a project led by three clubs: Rotaract Club of Koramangala, Rotaract Club of JNC, and Rotaract Club of Krupanidhi Group of Institutions and Rotaract Club of APS College of engineering. The shelter, managed by Miss Aditi and a team of six, cares for abandoned and rescued dogs. After introductions, the participants were split into three teams. Two teams focused on de-weeding specific areas in the shelter, while the third team worked on cleaning another indoor space. We took a short break, and all three teams joined forces to deep clean the indoor area. The collaboration among clubs and individuals showcased a shared commitment to the well-being of the dogs. The event concluded with a sense of accomplishment as the shelter became more welcoming. The teams, having made a positive impact, left the shelter knowing they had contributed to creating a better living environment for the dogs.
