The Rotaract Club of Jyoti Nivas College and the Rotaract Club of Mount Carmel College joined forces to host a session on Breast Cancer Awareness on April 5th, 2024. The session featured Dr. P.P Bapsy and Dr. Sandhya Ravi as guest speakers. The primary objective was to enlighten participants about the significance of early detection, risk factors, and preventive measures concerning breast cancer. The speakers emphasized the importance of regular self-examinations, mammograms, and prompt medical consultation for any unusual changes in breast tissue. They underscored the impact of awareness campaigns in fostering early diagnosis and enhancing survival rates. Furthermore, the session provided valuable insights into the support resources available for individuals and families grappling with breast cancer, while encouraging open communication and proactive measures for maintaining breast health. The session gave insights as to what exactly is breast cancer, its symptoms and what measures can be taken to spread the awareness of breast cancer.
