Kalacharya is an initiative taken up by ConnectFor. 24 volunteers were part of Kalacharya, where we visited Moulana Azadh school. It started at 9:15am and ended by 12:00pm. We were first given an overview about the initiative by connectFor. Every volunteer was divided into groups. Handmade cards and beautiful flowers were made by students for their teachers, on the occasion of guru purnima.This was a sweet gesture in which students showed their gratitude towards their lovely teachers. We were able to interact with the students and spend quality time with them. The students designed their cards with the materials provided to them. They put in their own creativity, their joy and happiness were definitely infectious. This was definitely a heartwarming experience for every volunteer, to see children happy and creative. The event winded up by taking pictures with the children and their wonderful cards. Kalacharya truly showed us how we can contribute our little time and make someone's day. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and excitement as students eagerly made their paper cards and flowers. This event was definitely inspiring and it was truly a crafty creation.
