The project "Roots For Change" was a Plant Donation Drive held in our college on July 1st, 2024 to kick start our rota year 2024-25.This project aimed at donating saplings of Song of India plants to students and encouraging them to plant these saplings at home, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility towards the environment. The plant Song of India(Dracaena reflexa) helps in air purification and also require very low maintenance hence making it the perfect choice of plant to donate to beginners. The primary objectives were to increase awareness about the importance of plants, encourage sustainable practices among students, and also to spread the word about what our club is actually about. We donated 25 plants to the students. All members of RACMCC Council 24-25 put their heads together to make this event a success from planting the saplings in small paper cups to donating the plants and engaging with students abt Rotaract. The students were very enthusiastic and were ready to take up the responsibility of a plant. This project was the start of our tenure, promoting and promising to have a greener environment.
