On 26th of July, the Rotaract Club of KSSEM organized an event to commemorate Kargil Vijayotsava, a day dedicated to honoring the heroes of the Kargil War. The event aimed to educate members and attendees about the significance of Kargil Diwas, the historical events that transpired, and the valor of the soldiers who fought bravely. Introduction to Kargil Diwas: Rtr. Yashwant, who is serving as the International Service Director, commenced the session by explaining the importance of Kargil Diwas. Observed on July 26th every year, Kargil Diwas honors the soldiers who fought in the Kargil War in 1999. He emphasized the day’s role in fostering patriotism and recognizing the sacrifices made by the Indian Armed Forces. The presentation included a detailed account of the events leading up to the Kargil War, highlighting the strategic and geopolitical factors involved. Attendees were given a comprehensive overview of the circumstances that triggered the conflict and the significant milestones during the war. An in-depth explanation was provided on the various battles fought during the war, the strategies employed by the Indian Armed Forces, and the stories of heroism displayed by the soldiers. Rtr.
