The Rotaract Club of Jyoti Nivas College organized a seminar titled "CyberSafe Surge," focusing on the critical importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital world. The event aimed to educate and empower participants with the knowledge to navigate the complexities of the online environment safely. The seminar was led by S. Divya Lakshmi, a cybersecurity expert with 14 years of experience. With a BE and MBA, and certifications in CISM, CCNA, Cloud Security, and Infrastructure Security, Ms. Lakshmi is a passionate advocate for cybersecurity, particularly for women in tech. She has actively promoted cybersecurity awareness across schools, colleges, and workplaces. During the seminar, Ms. Lakshmi provided a comprehensive overview of the current cybersecurity landscape, addressing the increasing threats and vulnerabilities. She emphasized the importance of proactive security measures, including regular updates, strong passwords, and phishing awareness. Her session also delved into advanced topics like cloud and infrastructure security, catering to both beginners and those with a technical background. Ms. Lakshmi also highlighted her involvement with the Women In Security group, encouraging more women to pursue careers in cybersecurity.
