The District Avenue Directors of RID 3181 successfully conducted a significant initiative on 15th December 2024, aimed at raising awareness about menstrual hygiene among girls in rural areas with limited access to such crucial information. The event took place at T S Subbanna Sarvajanike Girls High School, Chamundi Hill, Mysore, and witnessed enthusiastic participation. The program featured an engaging and insightful session by Dr. Jayashree S., a renowned gynecologist from Mysore, who educated the girls on essential aspects of menstrual hygiene and health. Following the session, the Rotaract Club of Bengaluru HSR, R.I. District 3191, sponsored the sanitary pads to ensure the participants could implement the knowledge gained. The initiative received overwhelming support from Rotaractors, whose efforts contributed to the program’s success. Their active participation and dedication helped create a meaningful impact on the lives of the young girls.
