The District Community Service Team of Rotary International District 3191 is stepping up to provide critical support to the flood-affected areas of North Karnataka and Kerala through the initiative NERAVU. Heavy rains have devastated these regions, leading to widespread flooding, landslides, and significant damage, particularly in Hassan, Wayanad and Ernakulam districts. Homes have been destroyed, and over 1,000 people have been forced to relocate to relief camps. The situation is dire, with landslides along the Shiradi Ghat highway further complicating the movement of vehicles and supplies. The District urged everyone to contribute by donating essential items to help those affected by this disaster. Donations was be accepted until August 11th, 2024. Rotaract Bangalore South Parade (RBSP) made a generous contribution, donating much-needed relief materials. Our club provided towels, sarees, blankets, and shoes, along with 85 raincoats to help protect those in need from the harsh weather. This effort is a testament to the strength of our community and our shared commitment to making a positive impact. Let’s unite and bring hope to those who need it most.
