On the 18th of August, we came together to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with a meaningful twist through our event, Threads of Compassion. In collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Mumbai Western Elite and the Rotaract Club of Bombay Pier, we at the Rotaract Club of Bengaluru United set out to honor those who work tirelessly to protect and serve our communities. Instead of the usual family-centric celebrations, we decided to extend this symbol of protection and care to police officers and municipal workers at Lalbhag. We tied rakhis to these unsung heroes, showing our appreciation for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding our neighborhoods. What made the event truly special was the simple joy and gratitude we saw on their faces as we tied the rakhis. It was more than just a gesture—it was a way to connect and acknowledge their hard work. We captured these moments to share with other districts, hoping to inspire more acts of compassion and community bonding. It was a day filled with warmth, smiles, and the spirit of giving back, leaving us all with a deep sense of fulfillment.
