On 15th August, 2024, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Orchards, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bangalore Orchards, continued its flagship project of celebrating Independence Day at the Government School. This initiative, which was launched last year, aimed at instilling patriotism and providing joy to the students through various engaging activities and distribution of snacks. The motive of the event was to celebrate the 78th Independence Day with school children in an enriching and engaging manner, strengthen the relationship between the Rotaract Club and the local school community and to inspire the young generation with the values of freedom and national pride. The Independence Day celebrations commenced at 9:00 AM with great enthusiasm from both the students and the members of the Rotaract Club. The program began with the hoisting of the Indian national flag, which was followed by cultural performances that reflected the rich diversity and history of the nation. The Rotaract Club, playing a pivotal role in organizing the event, ensured that the children were not only entertained but also educated on the significance of Independence Day.A key aspect of the celebration was the distribution of snacks to the participating children. The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Orchards distributed snacks to over 200 students, ensuring that each child who took part in the celebrations left with a sense of happiness and fulfillment. The snack distribution was a gesture of goodwill, reinforcing the Club's dedication to community service. The event was a resounding success. The school authorities expressed their deep gratitude for the Rotaract Club's efforts in making the day memorable for the students. The children were thrilled by the celebrations and appreciated the kindness shown by the Club. The continuation of this flagship project is a testament to the Club’s dedication to making a positive impact in society.
