The Rotaract Club of GVMITM, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Jyoti Nivas College, hosted an engaging seminar on Canva, a popular graphic design platform that makes it easy to create stunning visual content. The goal of the session was to equip participants with essential skills to effectively use Canva for both personal and professional design projects. The seminar focused on several key objectives: introducing participants to the Canva platform, teaching fundamental graphic design principles such as color theory, typography, and layout, demonstrating how to create impactful designs like posters, presentations, and social media graphics, and encouraging attendees to explore Canva’s tools for their future projects. The speaker began by providing an overview of Canva, highlighting its user-friendly features and accessibility. Participants enjoyed a live demonstration that covered important topics, including how to set up an account and navigate the dashboard, select templates for various projects, and use the drag-and-drop feature to customize designs. The speaker also explained essential design principles, such as balance, contrast, and alignment, and guided participants through Canva’s extensive library of images, fonts, and icons.
