The Rotaract Club of Nashik Nine Hills, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Jyoti Nivas College, hosted an enlightening webinar titled "Finding Happiness Through IKIGAI". The session, led by renowned speaker Mr. Manny Anchan—an entrepreneur, ex-banker, TED Talk speaker, and author—focused on exploring the Japanese concept of IKIGAI as a pathway to happiness and fulfillment. The main objectives of this event were: - to educate participants about the principles of IKIGAI and its significance in achieving a balanced life - to engage attendees in self-reflection through a happiness assessment, helping them evaluate their current state of happiness and identify areas for improvement - to foster a community dialogue around well-being and longevity, exploring cultural perspectives on happiness The webinar began with an introduction and exploration of IKIGAI. Mr. Anchan addressed critical questions regarding the origins of IKIGAI, longevity in Japanese culture, gender differences in life expectancy, and suicide rates across age groups—prompting active participation from the audience. Participants then engaged in a happiness assessment, allowing them to rate their happiness levels based on guided questions. This interactive segment aimed to help individuals understand the application of IKIGAI in their daily lives.
