On September 8, 2024, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar actively participated in the RIDE for a Cause, an event organized to promote environmental protection and raise awareness about the importance of preserving nature. The event was hosted by Rotaract Club of Koramangala, with the starting point at Nexus Mall (Forum Mall), Koramangala, and the destination being Chunchi Falls and Sangama. With over 58 enthusiastic participants, the event commenced at 5:00 am. The riders, full of energy, set off from the start point and traversed a scenic route filled with mountains and picturesque landscapes. The beautiful views along the way added to the participants' enjoyment, making the ride both engaging and visually rewarding. Upon reaching Chunchi Falls, the participants initiated a cleanliness drive, focusing on collecting plastic waste and other litter from around the falls. This effort was aimed at maintaining the natural beauty of the location and emphasizing the message of environmental preservation. The cleanup was a meaningful contribution to the cause of protecting nature. Additionally, during the event, the group made a stop at a local NGO, where they participated in social service activities, further reinforcing their commitment to community welfare. Throughout the event, participants created lasting memories, enjoying the ride and the various activities while contributing to a worthy cause. The event was successful in spreading awareness about environmental responsibility and fostering a sense of unity among all those involved.
