The Career Compass event took a significant turn during the second session, where Aviral Trivedi, a seasoned developer at Visa with over eight years of experience in the field, shared his invaluable insights on job hunting. Given our college's technical focus, this session was particularly relevant, and attendees made the most of the opportunity to learn from Aviral’s extensive knowledge and expertise. Aviral engaged the audience in a lively discussion, tackling pressing questions such as the dilemma of choosing between offers from startups and multinational corporations (MNCs). His practical advice helped clarify the nuances of each option, guiding students to make informed decisions based on their career aspirations. One of the key highlights of the session was Aviral’s demonstration on how to effectively use platforms like LeetCode and others to learn Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). He emphasized the importance of these skills in today’s competitive job market and provided tips on how to approach problem-solving on these platforms. The session was hosted by the PDE team, led by Rtr Mrinal, who added a personal touch to the event as Aviral is his brother-in-law. This connection made the atmosphere fun and interactive, encouraging a relaxed environment where students felt comfortable asking questions and sharing their concerns about job hunting. Overall, the session with Aviral Trivedi was not just informative but also inspiring, equipping students with practical strategies to navigate their future careers effectively.
