On October 21st, the Rotaract Club of Atria I.T. organized Rangeela Phase 3 at Sumangali Sevashram, an event that combined community service, club service, and public image in a single initiative. The project was designed to align with Rotary's key areas of focus, offering meaningful engagement with the residents of the ashram. The day’s activities were centered around raising awareness of critical issues like water conservation and responsible waste management, which are vital for creating sustainable communities. As part of the initiative to promote Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene, the Rotaract Club members created a vibrant painting that highlighted various methods of conserving water. This artwork visually depicted how individuals can take simple, yet impactful, actions to save water in their daily lives. The painting served as a powerful reminder of the global water crisis and offered practical solutions for water preservation. The message of water conservation was particularly important given its relevance to sustainable living and environmental stewardship. In addition to addressing water-related concerns, the club also focused on Basic Education and Literacy. To promote this cause, they crafted another painting that illustrated the concept of source reduction, explaining the steps to reduce, reuse, recycle, and recover from waste, with the final step being proper disposal of waste materials. This visual guide was intended to educate the community on how small changes in daily habits can significantly reduce environmental waste and promote a cleaner, healthier environment. The paintings were displayed at Sumangali Sevashram, where close to 150 students were present. The artworks served as educational tools for these young minds, encouraging them to adopt sustainable practices. The initiative not only contributed to the community’s awareness of environmental issues but also strengthened the Rotaract Club's public image, demonstrating their commitment to creating lasting change through art, education, and service.
