The Rotaract Club of Atria I.T. recently held a vibrant session for incoming first-year students, continuing the successful "Make a Bag" initiative from the previous term. This event was designed not only to welcome the new batch but also to engage them in meaningful community service while showcasing the core values of the Rotaract community. The club also took this opportunity to conduct a membership drive, successfully reaching 1,000 followers on Instagram on the same day, marking a significant milestone for their online presence. During the session, the club members utilized leftover papers from the previous "Mosaic of Collaboration" project, along with newspapers and glue, to create eco-friendly paper bags. By integrating these materials, the initiative emphasized sustainability and resourcefulness, aligning with the club’s commitment to environmental change. The engaging atmosphere was further enhanced by playing music, which entertained the participants as they worked collaboratively on their projects. The participants were divided into 10 groups, initially tasked with creating 20 paper bags per team. This format fostered teamwork and effective communication among the students. As the activity progressed, it evolved into a friendly competition, motivating everyone to contribute even more creatively. Remarkably, some students even figured out how to make paper bags without using glue, showcasing their ingenuity and adaptability. By the end of the event, the collective effort resulted in a remarkable total of 650 paper bags, demonstrating the power of collaboration and friendly rivalry in achieving a common goal. The event culminated in a festive atmosphere, leaving the new members with a positive impression of the club and its initiatives. Through this engaging activity, the Rotaract Club of Atria I.T. successfully demonstrated their commitment to community engagement, environmental sustainability, and collaboration, making it a memorable and impactful start for the incoming students.
