The Rotaract Club of Atria I.T. had the opportunity to participate in the "Silent Symphony" session organized by the Rotaract Club of Meraki, RI District 3011. The session held on the occasion of the International Day of Sign Language, featured Mr. Rajesh Chaudhary as the speaker. Mr. Chaudhary shared his insights on the nuances of sign language and how it varies across different countries. His presentation emphasized the significance of learning sign language as a powerful tool for communication and inclusivity, especially for people with hearing impairments. During the session, participants learned how to introduce themselves and grasped the basics of the sign language alphabet and numbers. A practical test was conducted at the end, where members introduced themselves using sign language, reinforcing what they had learned. Mr. Chaudhary also shared his personal journey and what inspired him to learn sign language, which resonated with the attendees. The interactive and engaging session fostered knowledge sharing among clubs and participants, encouraging everyone to organize more sessions and seminars that promote inclusivity and support for people with disabilities. This project provided invaluable insight into the importance of understanding sign language and was a wonderful experience for all who participated.
