The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar successfully hosted the Ganpathi Vigraha - "Make Your Own Ganpati Ecofriendly" event on September 7, 2024, to raise awareness about climate change and advocate for sustainable practices during Ganesh Chaturthi. The event promoted the use of eco-friendly materials by providing Ganesha kits at an affordable price. Each kit included a jute bag, jute tray, Ganesha idol made from natural materials, cocopeat, a seed packet, and a floating coral diya. A total of 20 participants attended, enjoying the hands-on experience of creating their own eco-friendly idols. The event emphasized the importance of reducing the environmental impact of traditional celebrations, contributing to environmental protection while fostering a sense of responsibility and community engagement. It was deemed a success.
