The session on Mental Health Awareness, organized by the Rotaract Club of Delhi Pegasus in collaboration with Blood Connect and other collaborating Rotaract clubs including the Rotaract Club of Jyoti Nivas College, aimed to discuss key topics in forensic blood analysis, which are crucial for crime scene investigations. These included wound types, blood components, bloodstain patterns, post-mortem examinations, luminol, handling contaminated samples, and distinguishing between accidental and deliberate wounds. The Keynote Speaker for the session was Dr. Urvashi Sharma. She discussed the different types of wounds and what may cause them, the components of blood important for forensic analysis, role of bloodstain formations in reconstructing the crime scene, luminol and Its significance, and more. Forensic blood analysis is vital in reconstructing crime scenes and identifying the nature of injuries. Key techniques, including luminol use and bloodstain pattern analysis, play a pivotal role in solving crimes. This session was a truly unique and informative experience for all those who attended.
