On October 19, 2024, the Rotaract Club of RV College of Engineering (RVCE) hosted Naivedyam 3.0, a global food drive in honor of World Food Day. In collaboration with 21 other Rotaract clubs worldwide, the initiative aimed to address hunger by providing meals to underprivileged communities. While some clubs donated funds, others organized localized food distribution efforts, showcasing collective action to fight food insecurity. In Bangalore, volunteers from multiple Rotaract clubs participated actively. The team included 15 members from RaC RVCE, 2 from RaC Bangalore Orchards, 1 from RaC JNC, 4 from RaC NMIT-MBA, 3 from RaC Marathahalli, and 1 from RaC APSCE. Together, they distributed food in the Banashankari slum, serving 700 people. A total of 108 kilograms of cooked rice was provided to those in need. Across all participating clubs globally, Naivedyam 3.0 succeeded in feeding 1,300 individuals with the help of 80 dedicated volunteers. The initiative demonstrated the power of collaboration and emphasized social responsibility through acts of kindness and nourishment. This food drive embodied the spirit of World Food Day, spreading hope and compassion to vulnerable communities. Naivedyam 3.0 stands as a testament to how united efforts can create meaningful change, inspiring more people to contribute towards alleviating hunger.
