On October 21, 2024, the Rotaract Club of Jyoti Nivas College kicked off "Empower360: Soft Skills Amplified (Episode 1)," a new series focused on essential personal and professional skills. Partnering with 20 other Rotaract Clubs, the session brought together participants eager to sharpen their skills and gain a competitive edge. The event covered seven core areas: self-awareness, time management, communication, problem-solving, resilience, adaptability, and personal branding. It was led by Prof. SreeVidya Subramanyam, Co-Founder and Director of Suchinta Solutions Pvt. Ltd., who is also a certified expert in POSH Law and a recognized career counselor. Her insights and practical tools offered everyone a hands-on approach to personal and professional growth. The session started with self-awareness exercises, encouraging participants to get in touch with their strengths, weaknesses, values, and beliefs. Moving into time management, Prof. Subramanyam introduced effective techniques like task prioritization, SMART goals, and the Eisenhower Matrix to help streamline productivity. Communication skills came next, with role-play activities to practice active listening and adjusting communication styles for different situations. To boost problem-solving skills, participants learned practical frameworks like the PDCA cycle and the "5 Whys" technique for root-cause analysis. Resilience was another focus, with discussions on mindfulness, emotional regulation, and positive thinking, supported by inspiring examples of people overcoming challenges. Adaptability was addressed through activities that prepared participants to handle sudden changes, while personal branding rounded off the session. Here, participants learned how to shape their personal brand statements and present themselves confidently in professional environments. "Empower360 Episode 1" delivered on its promise to tackle key soft skills, giving everyone practical strategies to boost their personal and professional impact. Prof. Subramanyam’s interactive approach kept the session lively and engaging, leaving participants with a wealth of knowledge and tools to carry forward. Partners: 1.
