On October 6, 2024, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar, hosted Garba Utsav 2.0 at Vasavi Convention Hall. The event was organized to celebrate the Navratri festival and honor Goddess Durga, featuring traditional Garba and Dandiya Raas dances, a live DJ, and a delicious food. The combined efforts of multiple Rotaract clubs helped make the event a grand success, drawing over 250 attendees who came together to immerse themselves in the music, dancing, and cultural festivities. The event had a dual purpose: along with celebrating Navratri, it was organized as a fundraiser to support educational needs. Funds raised from Garba Utsav 2.0 will go toward providing study materials, including notebooks and stationery, for 120 underprivileged students in grades 8 through 10 at Kugur Government School. By addressing the need for basic educational resources, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar , with support from collaborating clubs, aimed to make a positive impact on the students' learning experience. At the end of the event, all participants expressed happiness and enjoyment, with many commenting on the event's lively and welcoming atmosphere. Garba Utsav 2.0 highlighted how cultural celebrations can foster community engagement while supporting meaningful causes. This year's event demonstrated the strength of collaboration, cultural celebration, and social responsibility, underscoring the positive impact that communities can achieve together.
