On October 26, 2024, the Rotaract Club of Jain Evening College, in collaboration with Rotary Bangalore Banashankari and Rotary Kanakapura, organized Aarogya, a free health camp in Marale Bekuppe, Kanakapura. This initiative provided critical medical services to over 300 residents, including general health check-ups, eye exams, cardiac assessments with ECG, and ENT consultations. The healthcare support offered to each participant was valued at INR 1,362, underscoring our club's commitment to promoting community welfare. For patients requiring advanced care, a special arrangement was made for transportation from Marale Bekuppe to BGS Hospital in Bengaluru. Approximately 40 individuals utilized this service, receiving surgeries and additional treatment free of charge, furthering our dedication to comprehensive health support. The total value of in-kind donations in the form of treatments and medical services amounted to approximately INR 4,10,000. This successful project aligns with our club’s theme, Anna Aarogya Akshara, which emphasizes health, education, and community enrichment. Through Aarogya, we celebrate another impactful step in our mission to uplift and serve our community.
