BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The event Bridge the Gap – Cultural Exchange Experience aimed to foster international collaboration through cultural presentations, language exchange, and flagship event showcases between the Rotaract Clubs of BMSCE and Athugalpura. EVENT DESCRIPTION: The Bridge the Gap – Cultural Exchange Experience was a collaborative event between the Rotaract Club of BMSCE and the Rotaract Club of Athugalpura, aimed at fostering cultural understanding and international goodwill. The event took place virtually via Zoom and witnessed active participation from both clubs. The event commenced with a welcome speech and introduction by Rtr. Kavindu Madapatha, International Service Director of the Rotaract Club of Athugalpura. Following this, members of both clubs introduced themselves, allowing participants to connect and set a positive tone for the session. Next, Rtr. Vinit Jain, President of the Rotaract Club of BMSCE, delivered an address, followed by a flagship event presentation by Rtr. Deeksha, representing the Rotaract Club of BMSCE. After this, Rtr. Anuhas Silva, President of the Rotaract Club of Athugalpura, provided an address and introduced their club's flagship event, presenting the key highlights of their initiatives. A group photo session took place on Zoom, where all participants were requested to turn on their cameras and pose for the virtual snapshot, marking a memorable moment of the cultural exchange. Following this, there were two cultural presentations. Rtr. Tejas from the Rotaract Club of BMSCE presented on Karnataka's culture, highlighting its traditions, heritage, and customs. In response, Rtr. Rasangi from the Rotaract Club of Athugalpura showcased Sri Lankan culture, offering insights into its rich history and vibrant customs. To deepen the cultural exchange, a language teaching session was organized. Rtr. Praagnya from the Rotaract Club of BMSCE introduced participants to basic Kannada, while Rtr. Sasadara from the Rotaract Club of Athugalpura taught participants the fundamentals of the Sinhala language. A letterhead exchange between the two clubs was conducted virtually, symbolizing the collaboration and strengthening of ties between the two Rotaract clubs. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Rtr. Saurav from the Rotaract Club of BMSCE, expressing gratitude to all the participants for their involvement and contributions.
