The Rotaract Club of Mount Carmel College and Rotaract Club of M.O.P Vaishnav College for Women, RID 3234, collaborated to observe World Food Day with the impactful online event, "Plates of Purpose." On October 16th, 2024, at 7:00 PM, over 60+ enthusiastic individuals from 12 clubs gathered on Google Meet, creating a vibrant hub of activism. The evening commenced with a thought-provoking video screening, shedding light on pressing food insecurity issues. This was followed by an engaging trivia challenge, testing participants' knowledge on sustainable food practices, nutrition, and cultural cuisine. The quiz sparked lively discussions, ranging from food waste reduction strategies to the benefits of superfoods. As participants shared personal anecdotes, college experiences, and the significance of food, engaging discussions unfolded. The dialogue sparked creative solutions, connecting food, community, and social impact. The online gathering was filled with laughter and joy as participants engaged in hilarious emoji games and guessed weird combinations. The atmosphere electrified with contagious guffaws and witty reactions, melting away inhibitions and forging unbreakable bonds among participants.
