As part of the spirit of giving back during Daan Utsav, the Rotaract Club of Koramangala, in partnership with the NGO Hands for Society, organized a community service initiative focused on food distribution and supporting local communities. Together, volunteers prepared and distributed sandwiches to those in need and extended their service by assisting at a Gurudwara Langar. š Sandwich Preparation: Volunteers from both the Rotaract Club and Hands for Society collaborated to prepare around 400 sandwiches. The teamwork ensured each sandwich was packed with care, ready to be distributed as a nutritious meal for those in need. š Distribution at Shivaji Nagar Bus Stand and Russell Market: Rotaractors and Hands for Society members then headed to Shivaji Nagar Bus Stand and Russell Market, where they distributed the sandwiches to the homeless and individuals from low-income backgrounds. The distribution was warmly received, with volunteers gaining valuable connections and insights from the community members. š Langar Service at Gurudwara: After the sandwich distribution, the team proceeded to the local Gurudwara to assist in the Langar service. Volunteers supported the meal preparation, serving, and cleanup, embracing the values of selfless service and community unity. This Daan Utsav initiative, in partnership with Hands for Society, provided a meaningful way to give back to the community. The event fostered empathy and compassion among volunteers, reinforcing the collective power of service to bring about positive change.
