On October 23rd, 2024, the Rotaract Club of Atria I.T., organized joint project with Rotary Bangalore South in collaboration with Atria Foundation, a transformative community service event, Mega Blood Donation Camp at Atria Institute of Technology. This initiative aimed to address a crucial public health need by inspiring students and faculty alike to contribute to the life-saving act of blood donation, fostering a deep sense of social responsibility within the college community. The camp surpassed expectations, successfully collecting an impressive 164 units of blood. Given that each unit of blood has the potential to save up to three lives, this collection could positively impact the lives of approximately 492 individuals in need of blood transfusions. This remarkable achievement reflects the compassion, dedication, and collective commitment of the students, faculty, and members of both Rotaract and Rotary organizations toward making a tangible difference in society. To honor the generosity of the donors, each participant was provided with refreshments, certificates, and AICTE points—an incentive that encouraged strong participation. The event not only met its goals but also created an atmosphere of unity and civic engagement, reinforcing the values of compassion and service within the campus. In sum, the Mega Blood Donation Camp was not just a successful event but a profound expression of the Rotaract Club of Atria I.T.’s unwavering dedication to improving lives and strengthening the fabric of the community. This impactful project stands as a proud testament to the power of collaboration and the enduring spirit of service that drives the Rotaract Club’s mission.
