On November 3, 2024, members from our club attended a memorable fundraiser event hosted by Rotary Bangalore City Centre in honor of Karnataka Rajyotsava and in tribute to the late Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar, marking his third death anniversary. Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting RBCC's plantation project in Tumkur district. The evening was filled with vibrant performances that celebrated Karnataka’s rich culture and paid homage to the beloved actor, "Appu." The event began with soulful songs by singers Shruthi Bhide, Aishwarya Kashinathan, Vikram Dixit, and Kumaran Iyer, who performed popular tracks associated with Puneeth Rajkumar and Karnataka Rajyotsava. These performances captivated the audience, many of whom joined in by dancing and singing along, adding to the lively atmosphere. The Yuva Dance Crew opened with an invocation dance to "Bappa Morya," setting a festive tone for the evening. This was followed by a heartfelt tribute dance in honor of Puneeth Rajkumar. Adding to the excitement, Dakshith Gowda, a finalist from Dance Karnataka Dance Season 6 and the third-place winner on Zee Kannada, delivered a powerful solo dance, leaving the audience amazed by his skill and energy. Throughout the event, the organizers held lucky dip contests to keep the audience engaged, giving small prizes to participants who joined the dance floor, which added an extra element of fun and interaction. The evening concluded with a delicious dinner, allowing everyone to reflect on the celebrations and enjoy a warm, memorable end to the night. Participants returned home with a sense of joy, enriched by the cultural celebration, the tribute to Puneeth Rajkumar, and the knowledge that their contributions would support a meaningful cause.
