On 4th November 2024, members of the Rotaract Club of SSMRV had the privilege of visiting the Premaanjali Foundation to celebrate Diwali with the children at the NGO. This was a heartwarming community service initiative that aimed to bring joy and festive cheer to those who need it most. The event saw around 120 children, including 20 blind children, come together to celebrate the festival of lights. To mark the occasion, we organized a cake-cutting ceremony, making the children feel special and included in the celebration. Along with the cake, we distributed fruits, chocolates, biscuits, and sweets, bringing smiles to the faces of the children. Each moment spent with them was filled with laughter and happiness, as we bonded over shared stories and festive joy. The Diwali celebration at Premaanjali Foundation was not just about distributing goodies; it was about creating a sense of belonging, fostering a spirit of kindness, and spreading positivity. The day was a reminder of the importance of giving back to the community and ensuring that every child, regardless of their circumstances, experiences the warmth and joy of the festival. This community service initiative truly embodied the spirit of Diwali, reinforcing the value of compassion and empathy. It was a fulfilling experience, and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these wonderful children.
