The Rotaract Club of RVCE organized the vibrant "Uptown Junk" event on November 28 and 29, 2024, witnessing enthusiastic participation from over 400 students. The event spanned two engaging days, with the first day dedicated to a high-energy treasure hunt, sparking excitement and teamwork among participants. On the second day, a creative “Best Out of Waste” competition took center stage. Participants showcased their innovation by crafting unique items from waste materials, which they purchased using Rota Money in an auction-style setup. The event was judged by esteemed guests, including DRR Rtr. Rtn. Abhay Lohia and former board members Rtr. Disha, Rtr. Shreya, and Rtr. Bhumika. Immediate Past President Rtr. Satej also graced the occasion, supporting the participants throughout. Winners were evaluated based on their creativity, resourcefulness, and the quality of items crafted from the auctioned waste. The event concluded successfully with the announcement of the top three winning teams, who were rewarded with cash prizes for their exceptional efforts. "Uptown Junk" not only highlighted the importance of sustainability and resourcefulness but also fostered creativity, teamwork, and a spirit of fun among the RVCE community.
