KANNADOTHSAVA The Rotaract Club of Shantiniketan organised Kannadothsava, a grand celebration of Kannada Rajyotsava, on the 16th November at 10:30 AM in the college premises that is Shanthiniketan College Of Science and Management Studies. This vibrant event was a heartfelt tribute to Karnataka’s rich culture, heritage, and traditions, bringing together students, staff, and guests in a joyous celebration of state pride. • Guest of honor : RTN. Shivanna – President, Rotary club of Ramanagara Kariappa A.D – A Retired Soldier The festivities began a day earlier, on the 15th of November, with the grand unveiling of the event banner, setting the tone for the celebrations. A series of competitions, including essay writing, pick and speak, and drawing, were conducted to engage students and showcase their creativity and talent. On the main day, the celebrations commenced with a traditional celebration featuring bullock carts and majestic Hallikar cows, symbolising the deep-rooted agricultural heritage of Karnataka. This was followed by a formal program graced by the presence of the esteemed chief guest, Mr. Kariappa, a retired soldier, who shared inspiring insights and added significance to the occasion. The informal segment of the event added colour and vibrancy, with a ramp walk that highlighted the unique aspects of Karnataka’s diverse traditions. The stage came alive with energetic dance performances and melodious singing, all reflecting the cultural richness of the state. The theme of the event was elegantly represented through red and yellow attire, symbolising the pride and unity of Karnataka.
