On the 23rd of November 2024, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Orchards, in collaboration with HMS Unani Medical College & Hospital and the Lions Blood Bank, organized a highly impactful blood donation camp. The event took place at the HMS Unani Medical College & Hospital, located in Sadashivanagar, Tumkur, with the noble aim of encouraging voluntary blood donation and saving lives. The camp was organized under the theme, "He who saves a life is as if he has given life to all humanity." This powerful message resonated with all participants and emphasized the critical role of blood donation in saving lives. The Rotaract Club played a vital role in promoting the event through its network, ensuring enthusiastic participation from students, staff, and the local community. The event began with an inauguration ceremony attended by faculty members, community leaders, and representatives from Lions Blood Bank and Rotaract Bangalore Orchards. Throughout the day, medical professionals and volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth donation process, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. Donors were provided with refreshments and certificates of appreciation as tokens of gratitude for their selfless act. The blood collected during the camp will be used to help patients in need, including those undergoing surgeries, accident victims, and individuals battling chronic illnesses. The overwhelming response from participants underscored the success of the camp, with many expressing their willingness to donate regularly. This collaboration exemplifies the power of partnerships in creating meaningful social impact. The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Orchards is proud to have contributed to this life-saving initiative and remains committed to organizing more such events in the future to support the community.
